仏教セッションTalk session on Buddhism

大雪の直後、慰霊行事参加のため沖縄に飛び、戻った翌日の21日。横須賀の独園寺さんで「仏教を学ぶ」の2回目が開催されました。
After removing heavy snow to clean up,I flied to Okinawa to attend memorial service for many sacrifices of WW2. Coming back the very next day,I took part in the class of Learning about Buddhism at Dokuonji temple in Yokosuka. This is the second edition.

司会役は独園寺住職の藤尾さん。涅槃図のおはなしです。
Our host Fujio san explained the painting of depiction of the Buddha's death(Nehanzu).

わたしは今回の雪かきで学んだことや禅語「雪を担いてともに井を埋む」、雪の塊はひとの心と同じであるというおはなしをしました。
This is my turn. I told the story what gave the big lesson heavy snow this time. "Carrying snow,Piling up to water hole" which means it is very important for the folks living in snow country to remove snow for serviving their own life,but those who living in other areas never notice when makes it happened.


アヤベさんは宗派の違いをわかりやすく説明しました。
Ayabe san explained the differece among denomination in Japan.



ヒラモトさんはご自身のおじいさんのおてらを継いだ体験をお話されました。
Hiramoto san told us on his real experience sharing the time with his grandfarther and succeeded his temple in Odawara.

Tomorrow I will be in Central Fukushima city due to attend Easten Japan Big earthquake memorial service. It will be held at Yakuoji temple which belongs to Tendai denomination.
